DESIGN IDEA
The fortress like site, with shoplots blocking it, is viewed as a Wadi as it shares ,metaphorically , almost the same of a wadi geographical features. A Wadi, valley, ravine, or channel formed due to erosion of water, but never will it permanently contained a body of water. Only during rainy season will it be an oasis to traveller of sort. Our concept is to change this wadi-shaped-site into an oasis of active public space zone that will be lively through out the time.
PLACE MAKING APPROACH
Build around the concept of active and healthy lifetsyle, ARENA Phase 01 designed to intergrate a creative economy through unique working and retail space with interlacing green private decking perch on multilevel of podiums. From the ground level, new urban connection fabric will be created through a series of spaces that can facilitates weekly public events at the central yard. ARENA Phase 01 street edges will be intergated with local art & mobile exhibition, activating and incapsulating the main water element at the central area that functions to helps cool down and create a micro climate environment within this public secluded space.
COMMERCIAL
Literally above all of these components, convention halls and its facilities perch above covering these spaces, enforcing the micro climate control. Directly accessible or through a series of staggered terrace overlooking the creative commecial and pavillion walkway.
TOWER
Towering above the stature fit to be called landmark and prestige are 4 pinacle of components. A luxury concept hotel above with direct link to network hub office with multiple program such shared working space and new economy start-up offices. 2 Towers of services apartment complete with high end facilities. 1 tower dedicated to be the crown jewels of the development and focal point of landmark. Making all the component above well composed and balanced is a connecting bridge featuring fine dining places, boutique, alfresco, and multiple components of active living lifestyle.
